The suburb of Robina
Robina is a suburb on the Gold Coast, in Queensland, Australia. One of the more notable features of this suburb is that Robina is one of the first communities in Australia to be a master planned residential community. Robina consists of Robina Town Centre shopping centre, Bond University, Cbus Super Stadium, and a local branch Library. Robina’s history dates back to 1980, when a Singaporean real estate developer purchased 20 square kilometres of land on the Southern Gold Coast. The land which developer Robin Loh acquired has been previously used for grazing, to which would become the suburb of Robina. Robina offers schooling from Kindergarten through to grade 12. One primary school and one secondary school exist within this suburb, consisting of Robina State School, and Robina State High School. Bond Universities campus is also located in this suburb. Located within Robina is the Gold Coast’s Techspace, located at the Robina Community Centre on San Antonio Drive. The Gold Coast Techspace is an education centre that focuses on electronics, computer programming, and 3D printing. The Gold Coast City Council operates a public library at the same centre.
